A loving home for those with nowhere else to turn
Inspired by Mother Teresa, this home was established in her honour to serve those in dire need. We are one of the pioneering rehabilitation centres in South India, offering a spiritual and holistic approach to mental health, elder care, and support for the terminally ill.
We believe we are one human family on earth, called to care for each other. That belief has guided us from a single ten-bed ward in 2000 to five institutions across Kerala today — each one a home away from home.

Our founding institution — long-term psychosocial rehabilitation for abandoned and mentally ill individuals, built on the Triangle Model of recovery pioneered here in Kerala.

Launched in 2016 on the same campus, Ammaveedu gives needy elderly men and women a safe, dignified place to live out their years in community rather than in isolation.

A legacy of care that began in 1977
Fr. Antony Mannarkulam spent decades working in mental health treatment before founding the Sanjeevani Rehabilitation Centre in 1992 — the first psychosocial rehabilitation centre of its kind in Kerala. Mother Teresa Home grew from that same calling in 2000.
Today, five institutions carry that legacy forward: a rehabilitation centre, an elders' home, two hospital-side care homes, and a new senior citizens' villa built in his memory.
